If someone you love is living with memory loss, the worry can feel constant. At Fieldstone at Chester Springs, your loved one can feel safe, supported, and engaged in a place designed to bring calm, comfort, and meaningful moments each day.
You Are Not Alone
You’re Doing Everything You Can. And It’s a Lot.
Caring for someone with memory loss is incredibly demanding. You may feel like you always have to be on alert — watching closely, stepping in constantly, and trying to prevent something from going wrong.
It’s exhausting. And for many families, the worry never really turns off. What if something happens when you’re not there? What if they wander? What if you miss something important? Memory care is not about giving up. It is about recognizing that your loved one deserves specialized, round-the-clock support that goes far beyond what any family caregiver can provide alone.
The right support can do more than make life safer. It can help your loved one feel more social, more comfortable, and more like themselves again.
At Fieldstone, our New Directions at The Compass Memory Care™ program is designed to do more than keep residents safe. We focus on who your loved one is today, honoring their life story while creating a calmer daily rhythm with comfort, connection, dignity, and meaningful moments of joy.
For many families, the need for memory care becomes clear over time. These are some of the most common signs that additional support may now be the most loving next step.
Increasing Safety Concerns at Home
You may be starting to worry about what could happen when your loved one is alone — whether that means wandering, leaving the stove on, or becoming disoriented in familiar surroundings.
Difficulty Managing Daily Tasks
Daily routines like bathing, dressing, preparing meals, or managing medications may be getting harder and harder to complete safely without consistent support.
Caregiver Burnout
If you feel exhausted, stretched thin, or like caregiving has quietly taken over your life, that may be a sign the level of care needed has outgrown what one person can sustainably provide.
Social Withdrawal & Isolation
Your loved one may be doing less, engaging less, or spending more time disconnected from the people and activities that once brought comfort and enjoyment.
Behavioral or Personality Changes
Agitation, sundowning, aggression, or dramatic shifts in mood can leave families feeling overwhelmed. Trained memory care professionals know how to respond with empathy, redirection, and calm.
Medication Mismanagement
Missed doses, double-dosing, or growing confusion around medications can create serious risks and are often one of the clearest signs that more support is needed.
Our Approach
A Thoughtful Approach Designed Around Your Loved One
Our proprietary New Directions at The Compass Memory Care™ program is designed to create a more supportive, calming daily experience. Here is how we help residents feel more comfortable, more engaged, and more at ease.
Personalized “Life Anchors”
We take time to learn your loved one’s history, preferences, routines, and personality. Those details help us create a personalized daily experience that reduces anxiety and sparks moments of recognition, familiarity, and joy.
Community-Wide Dementia Training
Every employee, from culinary to maintenance to administration, receives dementia training. That means every interaction throughout the day is more supportive, more understanding, and more comforting for your loved one.
Neighborhood-Like Living, Not an Institution
Our memory care neighborhood is designed to feel familiar, welcoming, and easy to navigate. With natural lighting, inviting lounges, open kitchens, and a secure courtyard, residents can move through their day with greater comfort and confidence.
Evidence-Driven Wellness Programs
From music and sensory experiences to movement, wellness, and therapeutic engagement, our programs are designed to bring purpose, connection, and meaningful moments into each day.
Licensed Nurses On-Site 24 Hours a Day
Peace of mind is part of everyday life here. With licensed nurses on-site around the clock, plus visiting physicians, rehabilitation services, and medication coordination, your loved one’s health is always supported.
Family Partnership at Every Step
You are still an essential part of your loved one’s care team. We keep communication open, welcome family visits, and work closely with you so you feel informed, supported, and involved every step of the way.
Community-Wide Dementia Training
A Thoughtful Approach Designed Around Your Loved One
Every team member—from culinary to maintenance to leadership—is trained in dementia care through a program certified by the Alzheimer’s Association, a distinction held by very few communities. This means every interaction throughout the day is more understanding, more supportive, and more comforting for your loved one.
Memory care at Fieldstone is designed to be as simple and transparent as possible.
Our pricing includes standard care, medication management, technology services, laundry services, and daily support—so families don’t have to navigate a long list of separate charges. As care needs evolve, we offer a straightforward Enhanced Care option, ensuring your loved one continues to receive the right level of support without unnecessary complexity.

We Have Answers
Questions Families Ask Most
We understand that choosing memory care raises emotional and practical questions. Here are honest answers to what families ask us most often.
How do I know when it’s time for memory care?
Trust your instincts. If you are asking this question, it is worth exploring. Common signs include growing safety concerns at home, difficulty with daily tasks, behavioral changes, caregiver burnout, and increasing isolation. Our team is happy to talk through your situation at your pace, with no pressure or obligation.
How is your staff trained to care for someone with dementia?
We go above and beyond industry standards. Every single employee at Fieldstone — including culinary, maintenance, and administrative staff — receives comprehensive dementia training. This means every interaction your loved one has throughout their day is handled with empathy, understanding, and professional insight. Our Compass Memory Care™ approach is woven into the fabric of our entire community, not just our direct care team.
Can family members visit at any time?
Family involvement is something we actively encourage. We maintain open communication, welcome visits, and work closely with you so you always feel connected to your loved one’s care and daily experience.
Is the environment secure? How do you prevent wandering?
Safety is built into every aspect of our community’s design. Our memory care neighborhood includes secured access, a beautiful enclosed courtyard, easy-to-navigate spaces, and 24/7 staffing so residents are always supervised and supported. That gives families real peace of mind.
Will my loved one feel at home at Fieldstone?
Absolutely. Our community is intentionally designed to feel warm, welcoming, and familiar rather than clinical. Residents enjoy comfortable private apartments, inviting common spaces, family-style dining, and routines shaped around who they are. Many families tell us their loved one feels more settled than they expected.
What is included in the monthly fee?
Memory care pricing is designed to be simple and predictable. The base rate includes housing, meals, daily support, medication management, activities, housekeeping, laundry, and utilities. We offer an inclusive care model with an optional enhanced level if additional support is needed, keeping both care and cost straightforward.
What happens if my loved one’s condition progresses?
Our care plans are designed to evolve with your loved one’s needs. We conduct regular wellness assessments and adjust care accordingly, ensuring that the level of support always matches where they are in their journey. Our on-site rehabilitation services, visiting physicians, and licensed nursing staff provide a comprehensive continuum of care so your loved one can remain in a familiar, supportive environment as their needs change.
Does Medicare cover memory care?
Memory care and assisted living are private pay services and are not covered by Medicare.
However, Medicare may cover short-term rehabilitation services such as physical or occupational therapy following a qualified hospital stay. These services are typically provided through third-party providers, such as BAYADA, and are separate from the cost of living in the community.
Our team is happy to help you understand how these pieces fit together so you can plan with clarity and confidence.
